The Good Crowd has partnered with a proudly Australian-owned manufacturing business who are looking for an Automation & Robotics Programmer based in Wodonga to take the lead on all things automation, integration and innovation across their manufacturing sites.

• A broad scope to create, solve, and lead automation initiatives from end to end

What do you need?

• 3–5 years of experience coding and integrating automated systems

• Strong experience programming ABB robots in manufacturing environments

• Proficiency in Beckhoff PLCs and automation hardware (TwinCAT or similar)

• Confident coding in C++ within a modern development environment

• Familiarity with HMI development and Ethernet/XML protocols

• A degree in Engineering (Mechatronics or a similar focus)

• A proactive mindset and comfort working in fast-changing environments

• Ability to adhere to company policey including health and safety standards.

• Bonus points for experience in robotic welding or automated metal fabrication

What do you do?

• Program and commission ABB robots to drive automation across manufacturing processes

• Develop and maintain Beckhoff systems using EtherCAT/XML protocols

• Code in C++ and integrate PLCs and HMIs for seamless operator control

• Prepare detailed operation manuals and technical documentation

• Support on-site commissioning across multiple locations (with remote flexibility)

• Work closely with design and production teams to streamline processes

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure smooth production and reliability
