The Role:
You'll play an integral role in the Global Finance Team, with key responsibilities having flow-on impacts to the team and the broader business. You'll be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and thoroughness as you perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliation functions. You're adaptable to a continually evolving environment and thrive in a deadline-oriented workplace, while always performing to the highest standard.
What You'll Do (but not limited to):
Accounts Payable:
Process 200+ supplier invoices monthly across Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, and other new markets as they are established.
Process tax amounts from invoices accurately in line with relevant local regulations (GST, VAT, etc.).
Ensure that coding and allocations are accurately processed in accordance with the company’s accounting and financial reporting framework.
Billing:
Create, validate, and distribute invoices to customers across Australia, New Zealand, UK and any new markets as required.
Prepare and distribute invoicing-related supporting documentation for customers.
Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank and merchant accounts across multiple countries on a daily basis.
Reconcile business card expenses and ensure documentation is obtained from cardholders.
About you:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting
3+ years of accounting experience
Ability to take initiative, investigate, and resolve issues.
Ability to work autonomously and cross-culturally.
Calm and mature demeanour with an ability to manage shifting or competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail with ability to prepare, compile, review and understand data across different formats.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct or similar ERP system.
