Not all Executive Assistant roles were created equal. This EA role will see you support and work side by side with a crucial Senior Executive in FRV’s Strategy Directorate. Reporting to, you will provide high level Executive Assistant support to the Deputy Commissioner Community Safety.

About the Role
As an experienced EA you are confident to use your judgement and professionalism to make decisions, provide information, and deal independently with all stakeholders. This includes senior management in government departments and various agencies, so you will employ a high degree of communication expertise.
In your day to day you are organised, adaptable and a resourceful asset who works well with in a high performing team serving the community.
Functional Accountabilities:
Including but is not limited to diary and travel management, correspondence, document development, information management, research and consider requirements, and high-level liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Attending to a high volume of urgent matters submitted for the Deputy Commissioner for consideration or approval.
Coordinating requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
Providing professional first point of contact for all enquiries to the Strategy Directorate.
Attending to any actions arising from Executive Leadership Team meetings that involve Policies, Procedures or correspondence.
Displaying a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, initiative and adaptability in your daily performance.
Delivery of holistic, client-centred, evidence-based care in pursuit of and with accountability for achievement of performance targets relating to sustainable return to work and injury prevention.
What you will need to Succeed:
As a results driven professional, you are highly organised and your experience should include;
Minimum Year 12 certificate or equivalent
Demonstrated extensive experience as an Executive Assistant and/or Personal Assistant
Established intermediate to high level of competence in the use of computers, software packages and the internet
Previous experience using SAP is desirable, although not essential
Well-practised user of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

About Us
FRV is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. FRV comprises of 4500 dedicated employees who serve and protect communities throughout Melbourne and Victoria’s major regional centres.
The Strategy Directorate is responsible for FRV technical and specialist capability including aviation coordination, research and development, operational communications and IT services and doctrine, along with equipment resource management.
Strategy is also responsible for interoperability, ensuring that these high quality FRV capabilities are delivered in collaboration with other emergency management partner agencies to reduce the impact and consequences of fire and other emergencies on Victorian communities. Strategy is the advocate for operations in the area of property and fleet.
