Temaki Sydney is a catering service providing a private sushi chef for all types of events!

We are looking for an experienced sushi chef to join our team, 3-4 times per week. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Japanese cuisine and be available to work during our business hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Manage food prep activities, like boiling rice, cleaning prawns etc.
• Prepare all types of sushi on our menu, including maki, California, nigiri, sashimi, temaki hand roll and sushi salads
• Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and ensuring works space is left clean and tidy after all events.

Requirements and skills:

• Work experience as a Sushi Chef
• Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
• Good knowledge and experience with knife skills
• Ability to work both fast and accurately
• Flexibility to take on various shifts
• Have a fun and friendly personality
• Must have your own personal insurance
• Must know how to speak English, for communication with customers
• Must have a valid drivers license and car
