About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Services & Tax Accountant to join our team. If you have a "can do" attitude and you are a highly motivated individual then you must become part of our successful firm that is recruiting for the future,

Have minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position;

Suitable level of professional Business Services & Tax experience.

Demonstrated attitude to deliver quality service & proactive in developing effective outcomes for upper management;

Strong ability to interact with clients and team members;

Excellent IT skills with the ability to adapt to any software application (MYOB is preferred);

Strong communication skills in both written and verbal, plus the ability to liaise effectively across all levels;

In this role you will be responsible for:

Supervise & lead a small team of accountants that manage the monthly reporting, decision making & corporate & taxation compliance

Review and prepare of management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS for individual, partnership, company and trusts

Preparation of FBT returns

Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC

Preparation of correspondence to clients and other bodies as required

Financial budgeting, banking reporting and end of month management reporting,

Managing client work flow expectations in a timely manner and meeting ongoing Practice workflow requirements

Work with the Client Directors and team to ensure client work is completed within the timeframe allocated

Ability to problem solve and review and investigate issues where necessary

Flexible and a can do attitude

Ability to work both autonomously and in a team

Strong academic performance with relevant tertiary qualification

CA Professional qualification must be in place or a desire to complete
