We’re partnering with a highly respected, modern accounting practice based in the beautiful bayside suburbs of Brisbane. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Taxation & Business Advisory Services Manager to step into a leadership role within a values-driven firm offering a clear equity pathway for the right person.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Partners, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients, providing tax compliance, tax planning and business advisory services. The role offers extensive client interaction, both over the phone and face-to-face, as well as the opportunity to manage and mentor junior team members and oversee workflow and WIP.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of complex financial statements and tax returns
• Delivering tax planning, forecasting and structuring advice
• Staff management, workflow supervision and WIP management
• Client meetings and relationship management
• Review of BAS, financials, and tax work prepared by junior staff
• Supporting the Partners on advisory projects and business development initiatives

About You

• 5+ years’ tax experience within Australian public practice
• Business/Commerce degree majoring in Accounting
• Strong technical knowledge including Div 7A, CGT and business structures
• Confident managing multiple client relationships and overseeing junior staff
• Tech savvy with a solid grasp of Xero and/or MYOB (Xero Practice Manager a bonus)
• Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
• CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent) highly regarded
• Registered Tax Agent preferred or working towards
