About the role

Substance Espresso Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cafe Floor Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is located in Runaway Bay, QLD and will involve overseeing the daily operations of our bustling cafe.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the front-of-house team, ensuring efficient and friendly customer service

Manage workflow and rostering to optimise productivity and customer experience

Provide hands-on support to barista/bar staff as needed

Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional manner

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the cafe

Assist with cash handling, stock control and inventory management

Contribute to the development and implementation of cafe policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry due to the very busy nature of our cafe

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Working knowledge of cafe operations, including barista skills and food preparation

Proficient in cash handling, inventory management and administrative tasks

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience in handling a busy waitlist/booking system juggle
