Our Alcohol and Other Drug (AoD) Treatment Services program is a new program funded by the Department of Health and Ageing to support the delivery of treatment services in the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay regions. The Liaison Officer manages the treatment service providers who will work support clients to reduce the effect of AoD use on individuals, families and communities in the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay regions. The treatment services are non-clinical and will be designed around community input and needs.
The initial phase of the role is to participate in community service design workshops and put in place the frameworks to select and establish the service providers. The greater part of the role is to manage the treatment service providers via contracts and ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators with the Department of Health and Ageing
About the Liaison Officer - AoD Treatment Services
This is a newly created role with lots of autonomy and on a day-to-day basis, you will:
Participate in the commissioning of new treatment services
Establish new contracts and develop rapport and positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
Regularly meet with treatment service providers, respond to any queries and monitor deliverables
Implement an audit schedule of contracted services to ensure compliance of providers
Provide record keeping and reporting
Ensure compliance with operational guidelines, relevant legislation and program policies
About you
To enjoy this role, you will have:
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- A track record in contract management
- Experience in operating in a regulatory, compliance framework
- Experience in AoD treatment services is desirable
