Position Description
An open opportunity for an enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join a busy payroll team on the Lower North Shore, close to train and the Sydney Metro. The organisation is an industry leader and you will be working in a large team environment that is fast paced yet a rewarding environment.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Accurately calculate and process employee wages, salaries, bonuses, and allowances.
• Superannuation calculations and processing some workers comp
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax and employment laws.
• Reviewing timesheets to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in payroll processing
• Answering employee queries through payroll inbox
• Onboarding new employees and terminations of outgoing employees.
• Updating Employee master file of payroll information

Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrates a positive and professional communication style.
• Participates in and supports a team environment to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
• Communicates in a clear, timely and consistent manner.
• Shares information in a positive way, is collaborative in team work
• Previous experience in a complex payroll environment (high volume or high award heavy environment)
• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills (V-lookups/Pivot Tables)
• Familiar with large payroll systems to adapt quickly; e.g SAP, ADP or Chris21
