Restaurant Hosts - Reception:

Located on the rooftop of Customs House, Cafe Sydney offers spectacular views, delicious food & first class service. We currently require an experienced Host/Maitre D/ Reception staff to join our dedicated team on a full time basis (38+ hours per week across 5 days). Must be available to work Weekends.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Setting and arranging tables

Greeting guests and presenting them with menus and beverage lists

Taking water orders and relaying the customer to their dedicated waiter

Assisting serving food and beverages

Cloakroom Coordination

Managing phone and email reservations

Assisting clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen

Assisting removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses

Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines

Requirements of the role:

Ability to work full time, at least 38 hours per week across 5 days

A minimum of 2 years experience working with reservations / FOH in a high-end, high volume, a la carte restaurant

To be dedicated to providing our clients with an excellent dining experience

Have great personal appearance, exceptional attention to detail

Experience with Sevenrooms reservation software

Clear communicator on both phone & email
