ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for an enthusiastic industry expert willing to engage and inspire the next generation of skilled Building Designers.

This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate design professional looking to pass on their skills and motivate others. You will need to have the art of delivering blended and on-line delivery, with evening and day sessions, equipping students with essential skills for careers in drafting, home energy and building design.

In this position you will work with a team of committed educators who provide exceptional training for young people starting their careers, those looking for career advancement.

Selected Duties:

· Conduct teaching programs.

· Establish and maintain a learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning.

· Coordinate student resources and determine instructional strategies

· Customise units and courses as appropriate to meet client needs.

This position is required to teach units at the Certificate IV, Diploma and/or Advanced diploma level for courses which may include any combination of the following:

· Cert IV Building and Construction

· Cert IV Home Energy

· Cert IV Residential Drafting

· Advanced Diploma Building Design (Architectural)

ABOUT YOU

Skills & Experience

· An academic or trade qualification in Building Design or Architecture preferably at an Advanced Diploma level or above.

· Extensive experience in contract administration across commercial and residential construction projects is also advantageous.

· Current Teaching qualification in accordance with the Victorian TAFE Association, or willingness to obtain.

· Current Victorian Working with Children Check or current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
