Your Opportunity
HOPARRS - Homelessness outreach prevention and rapid rehousing service is a Specialist homelessness Service that provides support through client centred case management, assertive outreach, referral and advocacy to Single men, women and families in Blacktown, Parramatta, Cumberland LGA's and the Hills District
The HOPARRS team in Mt Druitt is on the lookout for Intake Support Worker to join our team; this is the perfect role for an individual that is looking to take their first step into case management.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Respond to incoming referrals of clients to the service from internal and external support services and conduct formal assessments of suitability for support
- Provide one-off support, referral and information to appropriate clients who do not require ongoing support from the service
- Undertake initial registrations for clients, including all necessary paperwork and intake forms
- Induct clients into the service including the property, facilities, and regulations
- Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into independence or other services
Requirements for Success
- 2 year Diploma in Social Welfare (or higher) or relevant industry experience
- Efficient IT Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Drivers licence
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
