ClockOn, a family-owned business since 1999, provides innovative workforce management software solutions to a growing and diverse customer base across Australia.
Due to growth, we now require a motivated finance professional to provide leadership across our total accounts function, including management of remote AP/AR resources, cash-flow analytics, business reporting and maintenance of accounts data.
The ideal candidate is hungry for business success, technology-savvy, efficiency-driven, and highly collaborative with other functional leaders in the pursuit of the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Oversight & Process Management
Supervise and support the offshore AP/AR resource, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliations across MYOB, banking, and CRM platforms.
Strengthen receivables management to minimize overdue payments and churn risk.
Enforce financial controls for cancellations, credit notes, refunds, and discounts.
Serve as an escalation point for customer account issues, including adjustments, refunds, and collections.
Classify capital expenses for the depreciation register and process related MYOB adjustments.
Accurately process journals in MYOB, including payroll, entitlements, ATO payments, and superannuation.
2. Financial Reporting & Strategic Insights
Develop annual budget plans in collaboration with the CEO and managers, with variance analysis and actionable insights.
Maintain and refine cash flow projection models (monthly, quarterly, annual, and five-year).
Prepare monthly financial reports on growth, cash flow, profitability, and collection risks.
3. Compliance & External Liaison
Ensure compliance with revenue recognition, tax planning, and financial reporting best practices.
Work with external accountants to optimize tax incentives (e.g., R&D tax credits, grants, government subsidies).
Manage ATO obligations, including GST & PAYG,
Develop and submit Aus Industry R&D tax offset applications.
Summary & Key Attributes
The Finance Manager will provide hands-on financial leadership, managing offshore AP/AR resources, overseeing cash flow, and handling bookkeeping, reporting, and external accountant relations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
High level financial and commercial acumen.
Strong grasp of chart of accounts and financial performance drivers for subscription-based business.
Advanced MS Excel modelling and expertise in MYOB.
Experience managing remote AP/AR teams.
Proven capability in driving process improvement using automation and technology.
Highly Regarded:
Financial management experience in context of investment funding and revenue scaling within SaaS or workforce management companies.
Direct experience within workforce management software companies
Location:
The role will be based is based in the company head office in Erina, New South Wales.
Hours:
This role is offered part time, for three standard working days per week. Flexible consideration to which specific days are to apply, by agreement.
Remuneration:
The indicated annual salary is the Full-Time Equivalent salary, this will be pro-rated based on three days per week.
