PROJECT MANAGER
About the Role:
As a Project Manager working with Brewer Civil, you'll play a vital role in overseeing project performance and ensuring successful project delivery. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, administer contracts, manage budgets, and uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and environmental standards. Salary package negotiated based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer head contracts and subcontracts effectively.
Establish and maintain construction programs in line with project timelines.
Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Uphold project quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
Assist in tendering process when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
General safety induction card.
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum 3-7 years of project management/construction experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and contracts management skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, ability to adapt to new software.
Knowledge of modern construction techniques and project methodologies
SITE SUPERVISOR
About the role:
As a Site Supervisor, you will provide direct supervision, direction and control of company resources operating on our civil construction sites to manage the day-to-day site works of the project. Ensuring that projects are delivered successfully, on time to budget, with a commitment to quality, safety, and environmental standards, and client requirements. Salary package negotiated based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of both internal and external staff, sub-contractors and suppliers to successfully deliver project requirements.
Reading, interpreting and communicating plans effectively to stakeholders.
Working with the company delivery team to ensure compliance with legislative and company Work Health Safety regulations and requirements for all site-based activities and operations.
Utilise plant and labour resources to ensure the cost-effective and safe delivery of Civil construction projects.
Providing strong leadership to site personnel and subcontractors, supporting, and encouraging Brewer Civil Company Values
Record and effectively manage contract work, variations, and day-works.
Achieving project completion to the satisfaction of senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
General safety induction card.
Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
Proven track record delivering a wide range of Civil Engineering projects as a Site Supervisor
Successful delivery of time and budget requirements.
Extensive experience in all aspects of civil construction especially water and wastewater infrastructure, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, road reconstruction.
Strong people management skills.
High level verbal and written communication skills.
An in depth understanding of construction costs and a proven ability in successful delivery of projects.
LEADING HANDS
About the role
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of construction workers on civil projects, this is and hands on position. Working under direction with site management team your expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. $35-$50hr with penalties based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with and directing the work of a team of construction workers, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
Ensuring all health, safety and environmental procedures are followed on site
Communicating with project managers and supervisors to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise
Monitoring and reporting on productivity, quality and compliance
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to project planning
Qualifications and Experience:
General safety induction card.
Significant experience as a Civil Leading Hand. Must have experience with the installation of services such as stormwater, sewer and water mains along with strong background in earthworks and road construction.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and project stakeholders
Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials and safety regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Demonstrated commitment to quality, productivity and continuous improvement
Relevant construction qualifications or certifications
MULTI-SKILLED PLANT OPERATORS
About the role
We are seeking reliable multi-skilled operators with demonstrated experience in the civil construction industry. GPS, UTS, trenching and final trim experience highly desired. $35-$45hr with penalties based on experience.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily pre-start inspections
Perform routine maintenance on machinery
Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Monitor the production process to ensure efficiency and quality.
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Qualifications & experience
Construction white card
Accreditation in any of the following and/or multiple disciplines (excavator, loader, dozer, grader, roller, skid steer, watercart)
Drivers License
Heavy Rigid License (if applicable)
Strong understanding of safe and efficient plant operation
GPS, Trenching and final trim experience desired
PIPE LAYERS
About the role
This is a full-time position responsible for laying pipes and infrastructure for our civil engineering projects. You will be working as part of a dedicated team to ensure efficient and high-quality pipe installation to support our clients' construction needs.$35-$45 with penalties based on experience.
Responsibilities
Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to install stormwater, watermain, sewer and conduits accurately and to specification
Shoot heights with dumpy level
Setup pipe laser
Setout excavations for trenching and pits
Perform trench preparation, bedding, and backfilling to ensure proper pipe support and protection
Follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe work environment
Collaborate with other construction workers and management team to coordinate pipe installation activities
Qualifications & experience
Previous experience as a Pipelayer (min 3 yrs) must be confident in all aspects of pipelaying in subdivisions and DTMR standards.
HDPE, PVC, DICL, RCP's,RCBC’s
Must be able to read and interpret plans and shoot levels
Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to undertake physical work in various weather conditions
Construction industry certifications or licenses would be highly regarded, such as Dogman Ticket
Confined Space, Electrofusion and Extrusion Welding (tickets high preference)
