The Role

Our Piping division is seeking an experienced and highly driven, sales professional with demonstrated industry experience to complement our Internal Sales Team.

Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager you are honest, dedicated, outgoing, have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask. You have an understanding of plastic piping systems products and services or similar, with four to five years experience working in a sales, customer service or BDM type role in the mining, oil and gas, water treatment & chemical industries.

This role is not just about processing orders! We are looking for someone who is strategic, persuasive, always follows-up and is highly driven to increase client spend, market share and provide an excellent customer experience.

As our Technical Sales Representative you’ll be focused on:

Driving business growth and managing existing accounts

Promoting our total packaged engineered solutions, including products for water treatment and chemical processing plants including tanks, bunds, piping systems and ancillary products.

Managing relationships with key clients, especially within water authorities, water treatment plants, consulting engineers, food and beverage and civil construction sectors

Conducting face-to-face meetings with clients for project discussions and marketing presentations.

Working closely with engineers to ensure accurate proposal costing

Maintaining a robust sales pipeline and meeting or exceeding targets

Developing and bringing on board new prospective clients.

Promoting and product specification to the consulting and engineering sector.

Tender engagement and quote/sales follow up.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Proven technical sales and account management experience.

Ability to convert prospects and close deals and achieve sales quotas.

Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development and time management.

Ability to negotiate, network, and foster long-term client relationships.

Experience in sales pipeline management and consistently exceeding targets.

A strong mechanical or technical aptitude.

A solutions-driven approach with excellent time management and organisational skills.
