About the role

Mine Con Plumbing Pty Ltd, a leading construction company in Townsville, QLD, is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team on a contract basis. As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and administering the company's diverse range of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of construction contracts, including consultancy agreements, subcontractor agreements, and supply contracts
• Monitoring contract performance and ensuring all parties adhere to the terms and conditions
• Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve any contract-related issues or disputes
• Maintaining comprehensive contract documentation and records
• Providing legal and commercial advice on contractual matters to support the company's operational and strategic objectives
• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions and responses
• Staying up-to-date with changes in construction industry regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Contracts Administrator or similar role within the construction industry
• Demonstrated understanding of construction industry contracts, including standard forms of contract, subcontract agreements, and supply arrangements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate contract-related risks
• Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, or a related field is preferred
