About the Role
We are looking for a Family Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to women, children, and young people impacted by domestic and family violence. This role involves delivering trauma-informed counselling, family therapy, and group programs to assist in recovery and healing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide attachment-based, trauma-informed counselling to individuals and families.

Facilitate therapeutic groups for women, children, and young people.

Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy as needed.

Offer outreach counselling in schools or community settings.

Contribute to professional development and training initiatives.

Maintain accurate client records and case notes.

About You:

Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, or related field.

Experience in counselling and therapeutic interventions for trauma survivors.

Knowledge of gender-based violence, safety planning, and advocacy.

Ability to work with diverse populations, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for family well-being.
