Join our Brisbane based firm as a Criminal Solicitor - work with quality private clients (no Legal Aid) across Brisbane and Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have 2 + years post admission experience as a Criminal Lawyer, be a talented communicator, with proven experience to allow them to work autonomously, go after and convert new enquiries, manage existing files and advise senior managers on the appropriate way in which to manage their matters. The ideal candidate will have proven trial advocacy experience, and be able to not only instruct Counsel, but also appear as Solicitor Advocate. The ideal candidate will also be looking to expand their trial advocacy experience under an experienced team. Whilst we are looking for an experienced Solicitor, we will consider the right individual with extensive experience as a clerk, who has been admitted or is about to be admitted.

As a capable Solicitor, you will be expected to work autonomously, abide by deadlines, and propose sensible and ethical solutions to problems. It is expected that the ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills, superior knowledge and research skills, and a keen interest in expanding their knowledge.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of matters, and have experience in the Queensland and Commonwealth sentencing regimes. The successful applicant will also have experience in Domestic and Family Violence. Experience in Family Law is also of benefit.

The position will report to an experienced manager. Salary will be considered based on skills and experience. A bonus scheme is also available. Contact the Director to express interest.
