As an emerging lawyer you can bring the legal experience you have into a criminal lawyer role. We are interested in lawyers who have experience in any area of law at any level. You just need a passion for criminal law and an eagerness to learn. This contract is for 12 months. Our previous emerging lawyers have already progressed to higher roles in the organisation.

About the role:

As a Criminal Lawyer you will prepare cases, advocate on behalf of clients, and provide advice to vulnerable Queenslander's charged with criminal offences. You may have the opportunity to appear in a variety of jurisdictions as Legal Aid Queensland represent clients from the Magistrates court through to the High Court of Australia. Our criminal law teams also have the opportunity to contribute to crucial criminal policy and law reform.
