Embrace the opportunity to be a part of Queensland Treasury as a Security Administrator. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Senior Security Administrators, provide independent ICT security guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while maintaining high-quality service and support.
In this role, you will:
• Administer logical access controls and security systems promptly in collaboration with Senior Security Administrators.
• Provide independent advice and recommendations to stakeholders on ICT security controls and systems.
• Ensure virus protection measures are up to date across the department and monitor the integrity of firewall systems.
• Develop productive working relationships to understand business needs, gather feedback, and contribute to ICT security enhancements.
• Work collaboratively with all Information Services colleagues, sharing information and knowledge to enhance individual and team performance levels.
• Continually stay updated on government-ICT security strategies, industry standards and emerging technologies.
What experience you will bring:
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships.
• Strong knowledge of whole-of-Government ICT security strategies, policies and standards.
• High level of awareness of current operations and future business goals of Treasury.
• Commitment to continuously improving systems performance, drawing on learnings and feedback.
• Proven ability to handle technical aspects of ICT security, including administering logical access controls, monitoring firewall integrity, and updating security systems.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
