Our client has a rich 40-year history in the power sector, having developed over $5.5 billion across conventional and renewable generation assets.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will provide electrical engineering design support and ensure engineering design oversight, validation, and verification. This pivotal position will shape our client's future as they expand their renewable energy asset portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical and I&C engineering design delivery

Ensure commercial and financial outcomes

Manage technical compliance and reliability

Implement safety and environmental management protocols

Coordinate with owner's engineers

Prepare for operational readiness

Engage with key stakeholders and manage relationships

What You'll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, business, finance, or related discipline

6+ years in power generation or energy storage

Demonstrated engineering design consultancy, EPC/EPCM, or owner's team experience

Strong understanding of BESS project development and delivery

Proficiency in project and engineering design software

Desired Skills:

Post-graduate qualifications in engineering or business

Professional certifications (PMP, RegPM, MIEAust, CPEng, NPER)

Experience with similar-scale BESS facilities

Full lifecycle experience (design, construction, commissioning, operations)
