CB&I is seeking an experienced and passionate project-based Project Engineer to support our project in Karratha, WA.

· FIFO – 20 days on 8 days off

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to support a tank construction project, with CB&I Australia Pty. Ltd.

Reporting to the project Manager, this exciting opportunity seeks a versatile and motivated Project Engineer. The successful candidate will mobilize to the Karratha, WA project site and work on a FIFO roster.

This a dynamic, hands on and fast paced role where no 2 days are the same!

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be providing technical support and guidance to field crew and supervision during all project phases, to ensure that project designs meet operational requirements and specified engineering standards.

This position may at times be the lead operations / supervisory person on site, therefore we are seeking someone who is comfortable giving direction and feedback to others.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Formulating and coordinating of project planning, including contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones.

Delivery of the various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling, and start-up aspects of a project(s).

Responsible for supporting construction progress on site including personnel, equipment, subcontractors, tools and supplies.

Ensure that items are installed as per latest project specifications and drawings, meeting quality, cost and time constraints.

Monitor progress and schedule performance, and identify problems in respect to budget schedules, engineering standards, working directly with Project Controls

Investigate and follow-up on technical queries with the technical services groups

Identify and interpret material specifications and provide technical support to supply chain to support project schedules

Ensure work undertaken complies with scope and meets operational requirements. Obtain appropriate approvals of and documenting calculations, specifications, variations etc.

Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs, such as Lessons Learned and other programs which support achievement of quality and project goals.

Degree qualified with minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering or Construction Management.

Storage Vessel/Tank experience is highly desirable.

The ultimate problem solver with a proactive and can-do attitude.

Ability to analytically approach problems.

Ability to communicate at all levels of the project organisation.

Must have good organisation and prioritization skills.

Adaptability and agility to learn and contribute within varying and complex environments.
