Since 1998, Dolceroma has been a trusted name in the food service industry, creating quality cakes and pastries for clubs, cafes, caterers, and distributors across Sydney. From our Prestons kitchen, we focus on consistency, creativity, and a team that takes pride in what we do.

We’re now looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to step into a leadership role, working closely with our management team to guide daily production, support the team, and help us grow.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Assist in the management and hands on production of the production process from start to finish, ensuring that all products are produced to our high quality standards

Assist in the management of daily operations including production planning, procurement, purchasing, Inventory management and quality control

Monitor and maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment compliant to HACCP GMP and documentation regulations

Implementing and managing efficient production processes maintaining a lean operation, minimising wastage and continuous improvement

Support apprentices and trainees empowering creativity, learning and growth of individuals and the team

Collaborate with the sales team and general management to develop and implement new products into our production schedule

About You

People will describe you as a passionate and creative professional in the food industry, taking pride in your work and in manufacturing quality products. You are a natural leader who can encourage, empower, inspire and support a successful team in achieving individual and team business goals. You seek to continually improve systems, operation efficiencies and capabilities in a fast paced kitchen, highly self-motivated, committed and loyal. You have excellent organisational skills in time, task and team management to be able to coordinate the steps to success!

Qualifications & Experience Needed

At least 5 years of experience as a qualified pastry chef in the food manufacturing industry

A good understanding of traditional and automated Bakery/Patisserie manufacturing machinery equipment

Demonstrated organisational skills

Leadership and communication skills for supporting and collaborating with the production and admin team

Knowledge and experience in HACCP and food safety regulations

Good understanding of data management platforms to manage HACCP, inventory, production and other processes database.
