About the Role:

Our client, a prominent floral wholesaler, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Administration Assistant to join their dynamic team in Rocklea. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, including accounts management, customer support, and general office duties.

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM roughly, potential Saturday shifts
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounts-related tasks, including purchasing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
  • Utilize SAP for sales entries (prior SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory).
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries, assisting customers with stock availability and order placements.
  • Provide support to both existing and new customers, addressing various queries.
  • Conduct general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and corresponding with customers and suppliers via email.
  • Manage follow-ups regarding customs arrangements and deliveries.
  • Generate reports using Excel on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist with front-of-house activities, particularly during busy periods, to ensure excellent customer service.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be proactive and capable of managing day-to-day responsibilities independently. You should be a quick learner with effective communication skills, capable of handling customer inquiries, processing sales orders, and supporting purchasing tasks.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and effective prioritization.
  • Previous experience in customer relations, with a professional phone demeanour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and efficient with a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in sales or purchasing administration is highly regarded.
