The Role:

Deliver in-depth, personalized consultations for Shariah-compliant lending solutions while ensuring complete adherence to Australian regulatory and Islamic ethical standards.

Meet with clients to understand their financial objectives and borrowing capacity

Conduct detailed fact-finding and financial analysis

Recommend suitable finance products based on client goals and circumstances

Manage end-to-end loan application processes until client is settled

Loan Structuring & Product Sourcing

Research, compare, and source appropriate loan options from a panel of lenders

Present options and explain features, benefits, and obligations to clients

Structure loans to best suit client needs and long-term financial position

Application Management

Prepare and lodge loan applications with all necessary supporting documentation

Liaise with lenders, assessors, solicitors, and other stakeholders throughout the process

Follow up on progress and ensure timely settlement

Compliance & Record Keeping

Maintain strict adherence to NCCP and responsible lending obligations

Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and securely stored

Complete credit proposals, preliminary assessments, and compliance checklists

Client Relationship Management

Provide ongoing service post-settlement, including refinancing and loan reviews

Build long-term relationships with clients and maintain regular contact

Manage a database of current and prospective clients

Stakeholder Engagement

Develop and maintain professional relationships with lenders, aggregators, and referral partners

Attend networking events, industry functions, and professional development sessions

Attend office for on-location work and out-of-office meetings on a regular basis

Requirements:

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory.

Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking – A non-negotiable requirement; alternative qualifications will not be accepted.

Comprehensive mastery of Islamic Finance Principles;

Ijara (leasing)

Murabaha (cost-plus financing)

Musharakah/Diminishing Musharakah (partnership/home finance)

Istisna’a and Wakalah models

Active engagement with recognized Shariah Boards or accredited Islamic finance committees.

A minimum of 12 months verifiable industry experience in lending, mortgage broking, or wealth advisory in the Islamic Finance space.

Completion of advanced compliance courses relevant to ASIC, AFCA, and the NCCP Act within the past 12 months.

Proven track record in working exclusively within the Australian financial regulatory framework.

Master problem solver with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Agile negotiator to close complex deals.
