Ready to Make Things Happen? Join LA/Co as Our Operations Coordinator!

About Us

Leisure Accommodation Collective (LA/Co) is reimagining the hostel experience across Australia and New Zealand. With the recent launch of our brand, Drifter, we’re creating experience-rich spaces designed for today’s traveller.

We’re on a mission to deliver meaningful stays rooted in our core values of Consideration, Consciousness, and Connection. Whether it’s opening new properties, refurbishing existing ones, or building a community of curious and mindful adventurers, there’s never been a more exciting time to join LA/Co.

Why Work For Us?

At LA/Co, you'll be part of an executive team leading innovation in the hostel industry. As our new Operations Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to support the projects and processes that keep our growing network of hostels running smoothly.

From performance reporting to project coordination, this is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days look the same. You’ll work across teams and properties, helping drive accountability, clarity, and progress on key initiatives. You’ll be embedded in our strategy and operations, making an impact from day one.

You can expect:

  • Hybrid flexibility – based in Sydney, with a mix of working from home and on-site collaboration, plus the opportunity to travel
  • Accommodation discounts across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Perks & partner discounts including Happy Travels tours, JB Hi-Fi, Uber Eats and more
  • Free Employee Assistant Program including counselling and well-being support
  • Birthday leave – take a day to celebrate you
  • A chance to make a big impact, drive projects, and develop your skills in a supportive environment

Who We’re Looking For

We’re on the hunt for a sharp, switched-on operator who thrives on organisation, lives for spreadsheets and checklists, and gets a kick out of seeing projects run like clockwork. You’re the type who can juggle multiple deadlines, chase down action items, and keep the big picture in sight — all without breaking a sweat.

Love collaborating across teams? Obsessed with structure and clear communication? Comfortable holding people accountable (nicely, of course)? Perfect. You’ll be the secret weapon behind our COO, keeping things humming across properties, departments, and strategic initiatives.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in customer service, guest relations, project support, or high-level admin roles, with a strong understanding of hospitality operations (multi-site experience a plus!)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple (and competing) priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to draft high-level reports and executive summaries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g. Monday)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate the needs of the executive team
  • A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters
  • Experience in data analysis, and performance and financial reporting is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation where required, including public holidays and peak periods (e.g. Christmas, NYE, major events)

Ready to Join the Collective?

LA/Co is a welcoming and inclusive space where people come together to share stories and new experiences. We welcome guests and employees from all races, places, gender expressions and beliefs to be part of our team.

If you're looking for a dynamic, purpose-driven role where you can grow your career and help shape the future of hostel accommodation, we’d love to hear from you!
