Cost Accountant

Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative organisation focused on recycling construction waste to produce high-performance, re-engineered construction materials and solutions within a circular economy framework. They are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to play a vital role in managing accurate product costs, conduct cost analysis, oversee cashflow management, and debt collection management. This position is based in Wetherill Park, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, and will involve collaborating with stakeholders in operations and sales to deliver essential financial insights.

This is a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where you will contribute to annual budget roll-ups, financial forecasting, and reporting. Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role, an Accounting Degree, and be working towards CPA qualifications.

The successful candidate will have experience in AP and AR for back up support, they should be adaptable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service, with a strong background in management accounting, financial management, and financial reporting. Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or similar is expected.

Year end, month end financial reporting

Cashflow management

Debt collection management

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as back-up relief

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and related filings

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files

Assist with audits and other financial reviews
