The Role on Offer

As the Industrial Painter you are responsible for spraying all the metal fabricated surfaces of manufactured products with materials such as enamel or epoxy efficiently & in accordance with customer specifications and our safety and quality standards. You will fill, smooth, and repair each surface, mix liquid coatings and spray each layer according to the specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail and dedication to delivery of high-quality results. As with all members of our team, this role is expected to contribute to a safe and friendly, respectful work environment and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner against the job schedule. This will also be required to support the Fitting & Assembly team with various manufactured products as required.

The position is based in our workshop at Gateshead, NSW. It requires the ability to operate hand and power tools of all types, use a respirator, operate the blaster. Previous experience in industrial painting, ideally within in manufacturing environment, is essential.

Our ordinary hours of work are 7am-3pm Mon – Thu & 6am -1pm Fri. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to accommodate these hours, however flexibility will be considered upon request.

You'll ace this role if you have…

3-4 years’ experience in industrial painting, post-traineeship/apprenticeship.

Previously experience in fitting & assembly.

Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application

Punctual, reliable and professional worker.

Strong understanding of & commitment to WHS standards & contributing to a safe working area.

Ability to work effectively & positively as part of a small painting team to achieve the job schedule.

Pre-employment medical

Forklift license (or willingness to obtain)

Previous experience in garnet/shot blasting highly preferred (or willing to learn).
