Intro Recruitment is partnering with a Government Construction business with projects across Commercial and Residential building and maintenance. Due to recent growth and success, our client is looking to appoint a WHS Advisor to join the team in Cairns!

What will be the role responsibilities?

• Oversee the WHS and environmental systems for the region to ensure compliance is being achieved and risks are identified and managed
• Develop and educate staff in new technologies both in the field of workplace health, safety and environment.
• Assist with investigating dangerous incidents, hazards and workplace accidents, conducting WHS and environmental management system audits.
• Provide WHS and environmental advice to senior management and regional staff sourced from existing legislation, industry standards and internal policy/procedures

Candidate requirements!

• Strong and extensive experience in WHS and construction.
• Current workplace health and safety induction card
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable and high level of integrity
