Job Summary:
This role plays a key part in managing and supporting the recruitment process, focusing on clear communication and thorough candidate evaluation. You will be responsible for responding to candidate enquiries, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and conducting initial screening interviews and evaluations. Your efforts will directly contribute to the recruitment of talented individuals for the organisation.
Key Duties:
- Responding to candidate enquiries in a sensitive, professional, and timely manner, ensuring all questions and concerns are addressed.
- Managing the overall candidate experience and setting appropriate expectations throughout the recruitment process to ensure clarity and transparency.
- Providing regular updates to candidates and maintaining a positive relationship during all stages of the hiring process.
- Preparing detailed summaries of candidate responses to assist in decision-making.
- Conducting pre-employment screenings, verifying references, qualifications, and skills to ensure candidates meet the required criteria.
- Managing and conducting preliminary screening interviews or phone calls to assess the suitability of candidates for the role.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to ensure candidate evaluations align with the organisation's needs and recruitment goals.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates professionally and empathetically.
- Previous experience in a HR generalist or an advisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience with pre-employment screening, including reference checks, qualification verification, and skills assessment.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Australian citizenship, which is mandatory to be eligible to work for this Federal Government Agency.
- A Baseline Security Clearance is required.
