Our client is a Nationwide, leading engineering contractor that was established close to 30 years ago. They have been specialising in a range of solutions for Remediation works including Concrete Remediation (Remedial), Corrosion Protection / Blast and Paint and Waterproofing works.

The Role
Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with experience working in Rail Works to join their Sydney team.

Projects will include working on multiple Station Platform upgrades covering Concrete Remediation / Concrete Repair, Civil and Structural Steel works. Experience working with Sydney Trains is essential.

This role will be based in our clients office in Sydney, however will have multiple projects to manage across the Greater Sydney Area. This role will also include 1-2 weekend station upgrade per month that will require your involvement.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small to medium sized rail projects
• Project cost control and efficient running
• Coordinate direct labour, labour hire and subcontractors
• Progress reporting and weekly meetings
• Provide advice on any technical and engineering issues
• Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program
• Create and modify ITP’s and SWMS

What are we looking for?

• Experience as a Project Manager working contractor side on Sydney Trains projects (Senior Project Engineers will also be considered)
• Experience working in Station Platform upgrades would be desired but not essential
• Knowledge in Concrete Remediation and Blast and Paint works would be desired but not essential
• Tertiary qualification in Construction or Engineering - Essential
• OHS Construction White Card - Essential
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Ticket - Essential
• Drivers Licence - Essential
• Full Australian Working rights - Essential
• Police Clearance - Desirable
