About the role

Are you ready to join a highly motivated team who are supported to be their best! We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Childcare Room Leader to join our team at South St ELC' in Hadfield. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced early childhood educator to lead a team of educators and take responsibility for the daily operations of a childcare room. As the Childcare Room Leader, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-3 years, while supporting the centre's mission and values.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of a childcare room, including programming, planning, and implementing engaging learning experiences

Lead, mentor and support a team of passionate early childhood educators to deliver exceptional care and education

Ensure all children's developmental, physical, social, and emotional needs are met

Foster positive relationships with families and communicate regularly about children's progress

Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment that adheres to all relevant regulations and policies

Collaborate with the Centre Manager and other Room Leaders to contribute to the overall success of the centre

Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your practice

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Room Leader or Senior Educator in a childcare setting

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of early childhood educators

Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications

Eligibility to work in Australia and a working with children check
