Gigino is a vibrant neighbouhood restaurant in Fairfield, Sydney, known for great food, warm hospitality and a fun, respectful team culture. We're passionate about what we do and are expanding to include brunch service - so we are on the lookout for an experienced Floor Manager to help lead our front of house team.

This is a hands on, customer facing leadership role where you will be the go to person on the floor during service. You will manage staff., keep things running smoothly and ensure every guest has a memorable experience. Hours are Wednesday to Friday from 5pm-10pm every day, with occasional daytime shifts for brunch and events. You will also be taking orders, you will be an all rounder.

You will be responsible for managing the floor during service, supporting and guiding waitstaff and maintaining strong communication with the kitchen. This role also includes basic administrative tasks such as stock takes when necessary, daily reporting and assisting with event or brunch service when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support front of house staff during service

Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues as they arise

Handle payments and oversee cash and EFT systems

Perform stock takes when required and communicate needs to management

Provide daily shift reports to the manager

Ensure smooth co-ordination between front of house and kitchen teams

Maintain a clean, welcoming and professional dining environment

Assist with brunch services and special events as needed (with notice)

Promote a respectful and collaborative work culture

Ensure RSA compliance and uphold responsible service standards

Respect to customers and most importantly our chefs which is key

Requirements:

Experience in hospitality leadership or floor management

Background in waitressing, customer service and food retail

Confident handling money and basic reporting tasks

Reporting to the manager daily

Able to work efficiently under pressure

Strong communication and people skills

Ability to travel to Fairfield

RSA License - if you do not have one we are happy to get one for you

Available Wednesday - Friday (5pm-10pm or close)
