About the role

Are you an experienced retail professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join the team at Kabul house, a leading retailer in Glenorchy, TAS. As Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy retail store. This is a full-time position based in Glenorchy.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Store Manager in overseeing all daily store operations
• Supervising and motivating the retail team to deliver excellent customer service
• Handling cash management, inventory control, and loss prevention procedures
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive store efficiency
• Providing training and development to store associates
• Supporting the planning and execution of promotional events and sales campaigns
• Stepping in as Store Manager in their absence

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisor role
• Strong customer service orientation and people management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Numerical skills and experience with POS systems and inventory management
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure
• Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to driving sales growth
