About the role
An exciting immediate start role with a nationally recognisable Telecommunications / Media organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Financial Controller role will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities. Initially this will be a 2-3 month contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for potential extension should it be needed.

The responsibilities
Reporting directly into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Management of the full accounting and month-end processes
• Manage a small, high-performing team of staff
• Business partner with key divisional teams on financial results
• Prepare and submit the BAS, IAS and FBT for the Group
• Assist in annual statutory audit by preparing the necessary account reconciliations and liaising with the external auditor.
• Monthly overhead analysis and commentary
• Ad-hoc projects as and when required
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency

The successful applicant will have
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, must enjoy being hands-on with the work and have worked in a large, complex and dynamic organisation previously.
