We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to step into a critical contract role supporting a high-performing business during a key reporting and budgeting period.

About the Opportunity

This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive Financial Controller who enjoys the challenge of stepping in, stabilising reporting cycles, and delivering results with minimal hand-holding. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you’ll provide financial oversight across a portfolio of agriculture and infrastructure assets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial clarity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the month-end process, including consolidation of entity-level reports

Prepare management accounts, board reporting packs, and variance analysis

Partner with operational teams across livestock, cropping, and infrastructure assets

Oversee statutory compliance, tax obligations, and support audit requirements

Drive improvements in forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow visibility

Support system and process refinement initiatives across finance operations

What You’ll Bring

CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years’ experience in senior finance roles

Strong background in agribusiness, infrastructure, or asset-heavy industries

Proven ability to lead month-end, compliance, and board reporting with accuracy

Confident working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments

Ability to hit the ground running, adapt quickly, and communicate with clarity

Contract Details

Initial 3-month contract (with possible extension)
