Essential requirements:

• Work experience with preparing Financial statements in a Federal Government environment.
• Experience using Tech1 FMIS for Financial statements preparation
• Current Baseline Clearance
• Available to start by May 2025

About the Position:

Our Federal client is seeking multiple candidates for the Financial Reporting Team that manages the annual financial statements process, as well as the monthly, and yearly financial reporting activities, including the asset stock take, asset revaluation and impairment and provision assessments, as required as part of the preparation of the agencies financial statements and accompanying notes and workpapers. This process involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including external valuers, as well as internal departments. The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) audits this process, with regular updates provided to Audit and Risk Committee (ARC). The resulting financial statements are published in the agency's Annual Report and tabled in Parliament each year.

Duties:

• Assisting FRT with the preparation of the annual financial statements including preparing financial statement notes, reconciliations and analysis
• Assist FRT with the asset functions including processing of information in Tech1
• Assist FRT with the stocktake and valuation analysis
• Assisting FRT with financial processes within the Tech1 system and advising of possible solutions as required
• Supporting FRT with general activities relating to the preparation of financial statements as required.
