Accounts Receivable Officer | 12-Month FTC | Sydney CBD/Hybrid | $85k Incl. Super

My client, a well-established organisation in the property sector, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join its collections team. They have a solid growth strategy in place for 2025, allowing for development opportunities within their roles.

About the Role

You will be responsible for daily receipting, managing customer accounts, following up on arrears, and preparing account reconciliations. The role reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and involves working closely with other teams to ensure income is received and recorded accurately.

Main Responsibilities

• Process daily tenant income
• Manage arrears on accounts under $10k and organise follow-up meetings
• Perform trust bank account reconciliations and resolve unallocated payments
• Process direct debits and owner fund transfers
• Complete tenant account reconciliations and prepare month-end reports
• Assist with audits by providing required documents
• Maintain consistent processes and suggest improvements where needed

What You’ll Need

• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
• Experience working with finance systems (Yardi or similar is helpful)
• Experience in property highly regarded
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to manage your time and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a practical approach to problem-solving
• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
