About us:

The Forrest Centre is founded on spiritual support and personal connection, we are a Riverina-based aged care provider. With 40 years of experience, we are a registered charity dedicated to ensuring elderly people in the region receive the care they deserve.

Our services include at-home care for around 300 clients through Forrest Community Services, as well as residential aged care at Loreto Home of Compassion (76 residents), Mary Potter Nursing Home (70 residents), and The Forrest Centre Hospice (10 residents).

About the role:

An opportunity has become available for a Facility Manager with enthusiasm and commitment to join our team at the Mary Potter Nursing Home in Wagga Wagga. You will be a valued member of our organization's Management Team, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the nursing home.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Care, you will have the support of our Board and Executive Management Team in all areas, including human resources, AN-ACC management, finance, administration as well as clinical governance and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Effectively utilising the relevant components of the Commonwealth funding, whilst acknowledging the budgetary constraints that may apply to the facility.

Supervising the delivery of resident care and ensure that the documentation of such care is in accordance with the recognised professional standards.

Regularly liaising with all levels of staff to establish planning, cooperation and participation that will enable the organisational objections to be achieved.

Ensuring professional communication with local community and industry stakeholders, whilst fostering and maintaining relevant networks.

About you:

Has a genuine interest in the aged care industry.

Holds a tertiary qualification in Nursing, including registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Is comfortable operating in an environment of continuous improvement and understands total quality management, with an ability to problem solve.
