Bring your ER expertise to a values-led retail group where people are genuinely at the heart of the business. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on partnering with leaders, solving complex issues, and enabling a strong and inclusive workplace culture.

As the Employee Relations Business Partner – Retail, you’ll play a central role in supporting a large and diverse store network, working closely with the Retail Leadership team to guide performance, compliance, and engagement across the board.

You’ll report to the Head of People & Culture – Retail and operate as part of a wider, collaborative P&C team, influencing decisions and elevating capability across line managers and key functions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing trusted HR generalist and ER advice to store leadership and support functions
  • Coaching line managers through performance management and workplace challenges
  • Interpreting and advising on complex employment legislation, awards, EBAs and workplace policies
  • Acting as a key contact for regulatory bodies (Fair Work Commission, unions, etc.)
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of ER strategies and systems
  • Leading or supporting people-focused projects and annual HR/compliance training programs
  • Building the capability of leaders through hands-on guidance and mentorship
  • Supporting continuous improvement across policies, processes and cultural initiatives

What you bring:

  • Extensive HR business partnering experience in fast-paced, multi-site environments
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, award interpretation, EBAs, and compliance
  • Proven ability to solve problems and deliver innovative, business-aligned solutions
  • Confidence navigating unionised environments and external regulators
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • A passion for retail, people development, and creating positive culture
  • Experience leading teams is advantageous but not essential – a growth mindset is key
  • High energy, sound judgement, and the resilience to work at pace
