Hermitage Lodge is seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our tight-knit team. A choice of casual or permanent part time, this role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys leading a small team to deliver exceptional results.

As a boutique 4-star property in the heart of the Hunter Valley, we value consistency, quality, and teamwork. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our high presentation standards and creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the daily housekeeping operations, including team structure and daily task coordination

- Support and train team members, maintaining consistency and quality across all rooms and public areas

- Work with owners and management to ensure systems are efficient, standards are excellent, and the team operates smoothly

- Run daily toolbox talks to ensure all team members understand their responsibilities and duties

- Maintain clear communication with reception throughout the day regarding cleaning progress, minibar usage, and room status

- Ensure all areas under your care – including rooms, public areas, entries, and laundry – are of the highest presentation standard

- Conduct final walk-throughs to ensure 5-star cleaning standards are met

- Complete daily paperwork, including stock ordering (linen, groceries, milk, cleaning supplies)

- Monitor stock levels and create/maintain par levels in collaboration with management

- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead by example

- A proactive communicator and team player

- High attention to detail and a passion for maintaining top-tier presentation

- Confidence using checklists, stock ordering systems, and team communication tools

- Flexible and reliable, with a can-do attitude

- Must have drivers license and transport
