About the Role

In this role, you will be the face of Ovesco, delivering exceptional customer service while managing key aspects of our sales and fulfilment operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Being the first face the customer sees as they enter the branch and welcoming them with a warm greeting

Providing expert advice and top-notch service to customers

Managing and coordinating eCommerce order fulfilment

Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers

Preparing and following up on customer quotes, ensuring timely order delivery

Keeping customers informed on order statuses, including backorders

Managing stock levels efficiently to minimise shrinkage and stock loss

Maintaining accurate product information and ensuring correct stock levels

Performing stock replenishment as needed and ensuring all hardware deliveries are put away

Processing sales and putting quotes together for customers

Cleaning the hardware area and counter, ensuring it is neat and tidy at all times

Upholding Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards and maintaining a tidy work environment

Ensuring administrative processes are followed correctly

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

A passion and ability to deliver outstanding customer service and build great relationships

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn

An ability to undertake physical tasks safely

Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

A self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently as well as be a team player.

Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple customers and priorities under pressure

High levels of integrity, honesty and commitment

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

Experience using Microsoft Windows-based computer programs

Sales experience over the trade counter (preferred but not essential)

Knowledge of fasteners and associated products (a plus but not required)
