MEDICAL SECRETARY – PART TIME

SPECIALIST ROOMS

HEIDELBERG LOCATION

We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to work part-time, for a very busy Cardiothoracic practice. Our client is a leader in his field, specialising in coronary artery bypass graft surgery, heart valve repairs and replacements, and other cardiac and thoracic surgical operations.

The role is based in Heidelberg with parking close by and public transport within walking distance. Permanent days offered are Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm with the option to work every Friday, 9 am to 1 pm.

This position requires a person who understands the responsibility and care needed in dealing with patients, whilst working within a wonderful hospital community with a terrific team of staff. For a motivated person who thrives on working efficiently and able to prioritise and not be phased by urgent requests/changes, this is an excellent opportunity!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Answering phones

Meeting and greeting patients.

Running consulting sessions (Preparing patient files for consulting)

Liaising with other healthcare professionals

Organise and liaise with Anaesthetists, surgical assistants, and hospital staff

Audio typing of consultations and operation reports

Use of Genie (preferred)

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience working in busy medical practice.

Compassionate and empathic

Professional demeanour

Strong attention to detail

Computer literate together with solid and accurate keyboard skills
