Khukuri Nepali Restaurant is expanding our passionate culinary team, and we’re looking for a dedicated Cook to join us at our Campsie location. Since 2022, we’ve been committed to delivering authentic Nepalese cuisine that offers a unique and delightful dining experience. Position: Cook (Hospitality & Tourism)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Campsie NSW 2194

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking traditional Nepalese dishes, focusing on maintaining authentic flavours.

Support daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation and workstation setup.

Ensure timely preparation of dishes, upholding high-quality standards in taste and presentation.

Check temperature of food and other cooking equipment.

Manage stock levels for essential ingredients, reporting shortages as necessary.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene practices.

Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Nepalese or similar kitchen environment.

Basic understanding of Nepalese cuisine.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Knowledge of food safety standards.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
