The role

Fusion India Restaurant is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Potts Point, NSW. As our Chef, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering exceptional Indian-fusion cuisine that delights our guests. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Indian-fusion dishes following established recipes and techniques

Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials

Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and in a timely manner

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff

Actively participate in inventory management and cost control initiatives

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in an Indian or fusion-style restaurant

Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Excellent time management and multitasking skills

Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes

Proven track record of maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
