The Learning Services Manager will oversee the creation, delivery, and evaluation of customised training programs for our clients and internal teams. Leveraging expertise in adult education, instructional design, and preferably some understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), this role ensures training aligns with industry standards such as AQF, Training Packages, and ADDIE frameworks.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment where they interact across our experienced, professional GIS consultants and bring a passion for fostering growth and understanding in learners.

Key Responsibilities:
Client-Focused Training: Develop and manage bespoke training programs tailored to client needs, with a focus on GIS working with our large team of professionals on content and context.
Internal Development Initiatives: Lead the design and implementation of internal learning and development programs.
Instructional Design: Create engaging and effective training materials, including eLearning content (preferably using Articulate).
Set and Maintain Standards: Design programs aligned with AQF, Training Packages, Units of Competency, and ADDIE methodologies. Tune them to work best for us.
Learning Technologies: Utilise e-learning platforms (e.g., Moodle or Blackboard) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) effectively.
Project Management: Coordinate multiple training projects with efficiency, being responsible for your own outcomes.
GIS Proficiency: Apply, learn or improve your GIS knowledge (e.g., ArcGIS software) to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in instructional design, with knowledge of ADDIE or similar frameworks.
Background in training and development, preferably related to GIS or related technology.
Familiarity with e-learning tools and platforms (e.g., Articulate, Moodle, or Blackboard).
Data analysis skills for assessing training impact.
Project management expertise.
GIS Expertise:
Prior roles in GIS (e.g., GIS Analyst or Technician).
Knowledge of ArcGIS software is highly regarded.
Educational Background:
Qualification in GIS or equivalent experience (5-7+ years).
Formal teaching or training qualifications (highly desirable).
Interpersonal Qualities & Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, simplifying complex GIS concepts for diverse audiences.
Collaborative team player, comfortable working with varied stakeholders.
Leadership qualities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Adaptability to keep up with trends in learning and GIS technologies.
Creativity to design engaging, memorable learning experiences.
