About the role
Due to ongoing growth in the adoption of advanced farming technologies, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Precision Farming Technician to join a well-regarded dealership in the Esperance region of Western Australia.
This pivotal role will see you become the resident expert, providing comprehensive support and guidance on a range of GPS and precision agriculture products.
You will be instrumental in ensuring customers can leverage the full potential of their machinery's technology to optimise their farming practices. This involves understanding individual farming techniques and identifying how the provided technology can offer improvements and efficiencies. You will also play a key role in ensuring the correct and efficient use of machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough machine handovers to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Overseeing the fitment of precision farming solutions.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with precision farming equipment.
- Supporting successful demonstration programs.
- Leading customer training sessions on precision technology.
- Providing quotations and contributing to sales of parts and labour.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Prior experience with precision farming products from leading brands.
- A hands-on approach with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of agricultural practices.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to conduct training and presentations.
This position offers an attractive hourly rate, with penalty rates for weekend work. You will also receive superannuation, a work vehicle, mobile phone, and necessary equipment. Accommodation is also provided, and the role will involve travel throughout the dealership's PMA.
