About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, this full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position is an exceptional opportunity to guide the technology strategy and transformation of Southland Supply Group. Based at our modern headquarters in Eastern Creek, NSW, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging technology to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage across our national footprint.

Responsibilities

Develop & Implement Technology Roadmap: Align IT initiatives with the company’s overall business objectives.

Oversee IT Systems & Infrastructure: Ensure robust, scalable, and secure platforms that support daily operations.

Lead the IT Team: Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and foster a high-performance culture.

Identify Emerging Technologies: Research and evaluate new tools and solutions to enhance business capabilities and productivity.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with various departments to understand evolving needs and devise effective technology strategies.

Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives that promote operational efficiency and innovation.

Things we are looking for

Extensive Experience (10+ years) in Senior IT/Technology Leadership: Preferably within a medium to large-sized organisation.

Strong Technical Expertise: Familiarity with enterprise-level domains such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and software development.

Proven Track Record of Delivery: Demonstrated success leading technology initiatives that bring tangible business value.

Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused solutions.

Strategic Mindset: Capable of aligning technology strategy with overarching business goals.
