We are seeking a consultant for our nurseries, a key role who reports to the Nursery Manager. You will be based on Victoria point and working closely with our other two Nurseries in Sunshine Coast and Gumdale.

Qualification and Skills.

Provides advice and guidance to plant nursery business on best practices for the cultivation, care, processing, and distribution of native Australian plants

Performs studies and evaluations of plant nursery industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences to uncover opportunities for development and success the business.

Evaluate plant nursery operations to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.

Offer recommendation on space utilization, plant selection, and logistical planning and plant Management throughout the nurseries.

Advise plant nursery operators on identifying plant diseases, controlling pests and weeds, improving soil quality, and implementing effective care practices for sustainable production.

Engage with industry organizations, and our main retail clients like Bunnings to develop and implement programs that support the business and meet customer needs.

Strong reporting skills, with a focus on plant identification

Possesses exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, suppliers, and team members within the plant nurseries .

Experience in working with and managing external suppliers and vendors within the nursery industry.

EOM reconciliation, finalizing and reporting to management on stock levels, plant inventory, and associated costs.

Preference is for a Degree in Agricultural Business
