At Furology, we pride ourselves on delivering holistic dog lifestyle care, ensuring that each furry client receives the highest level of attention and service. Our dedicated team, "The Staffys," currently includes a full-time and part-time groomer, two Fursmith trainees, and a part-time assistant (A.I.G.), with a full-time Receptionist position to be filled soon. We are excited to expand our family with the addition of a skilled Bather/Dryer, our Canid Therapist.

Role Overview

As a Canid Therapist, you will specialize in Thermal Hydrotherapy and High Force Aerotherapy treatments, including our S&C menu catering to a diverse range of dog breeds and coat types. You will collaborate closely with the Preparation and and Coat Care groomers, and be supported by our A.I.G., who will assist with logistics, setup, stock resupply, and cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional bathing and drying services, focusing on Thermal Hydrotherapy and High Velocity Aerotherapy.

- Work in tandem with the Preparation and Coat Care team members to ensure a smooth grooming process.

- Assist the A.I.G. with dog logistics, setup, and tool provision to maintain an efficient workflow.

- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the Canid Therapy Clinic, and The Grroom Lab.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in bathing & drying is preferred but not essential (during training rate $22/hr for 4 weeks at FTE0.6 until complete).

- Passion for animal care.

- A strong understanding of dog behaviour, different dog breeds and coat types (for experienced persons).

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

- Ability to work diligently and proactively to achieve optimal grooming outcomes.

What We Offer:

- Competitive hourly rate of $25/hr, Tue, Wed, and Sat (plus rates) - 8am to approx. 4.30pm.

- Paid Annual Leave and Sick Leave.

- Superannuation at 11.5%, increasing by 0.2% p.a., 15% cap.

- Regular contract reviews every quarter to assess career and pay.
